I started volunteering as a member of the Parent-Support Group at my child's school as a way of being in touch with events and curriculum changes as well as being indirectly involved in my child's academic life. It has turned out to be a fulfilling way to contribute to the school community as I was able to share experiences, resources, and advice with other parents.
In 2024, I was elected as chairperson as part of the EXCO. Through this role, I aim to not only create a bigger supportive network of parents to strengthen our bond as a community and be advocates for our children, but also to promote school events and eventually collectively make a positive impact on our children's school journey.
I was actively involved in encouraging and supporting girls in producing artwork and other creative activities to raise funds for the orphanage.
As part of a team of voluntary members, I was involved in organising fund-raising events to raise money for UNICEF. I had also been a keynote speaker for the NUS Students Union.
